Center for Whale Research Confirms Birth of J pod Orca, Death of Female Calf J61

The Center for Whale Research has announced that New Year’s Eve was a day of extreme highs and lows in J pod. A new calf was seen in the pod, however, the new calf that was confirmed in early December 2024 appears to have not survived.
